
OVER fifty-three (53) political youth groups in Jos-North Local Government Area, have unanimously endorsed Hon. Huzaifa Ibrahim Abdullahi, as the sole candidate in the forthcoming Plateau State Council elections come October 9, 2024.
The endorsements which came today Sunday, when the groups led by Sadis Muhammad Albasu and Gloria Audu, pronounced their positions, describing the candidature of Hon Huzaifa, who is contesting on the platform of Social Democratic Party (SDP), as timely and was of their peer as a youth.
“We are all here as youth from across 53 youth groups that made up of Jos North LGA as Muslims and Christians, having seen your tangible philanthropic stride, we feel that it is important to make our unknown support to you.
“We will do all that is political and lawful to give our support to ensure that you win the general election for the seat of Chairmanship of Jos North Local Government Council,” Albasu said.
On her part, the secretary of the coalition, Gloria Audu, said, Huzaifa’s selfless services to the people of Jos North LGA, irrespective of any religious or ethnic consideration has prompted their support for him.
“You have been an inspiration to the youths, as our peer that has joined the contest, we are happy that your contest for the seat of chairman has come at the right time, it is timely,” she said.
Responding, the candidate, Hon. Huzaifa Ibrahim Abdullahi, said, “it wasn’t my intention to vie for any political elective or appointive position, but my peers amongst the Muslims and Christians, persuaded me to first aspire and I am now contesting the chairmanship position of Jos North LGC.
“I assure you that, we will continue to do the best we could to ensure good governance if elected. Our philanthropic support to our people will not temper with our political aspiration. I thank you all for the show of love and support,” he said.
Hon. Huzaifa, therefore , enjoined the youth to always be law abiding and also make sure they come out to votes during the election.
