The PDP flag bearer of Bassa Local Government Area in the forthcoming Council elections, Dr. Joshua Sunday Riti, has promised to take Bassa Local Government Area out of its old self of underdevelopment to a developed area.
He made the promise yesterday, while in an interview with Journalists in Jos, the Plateau State capital, when he received his Nomination Form at the party Secretariat Jos.
He described the forthcoming local government elections as a fight without bloodshed and that, he was prepared ahead saying, “I know my opponents are definitely coming from other parties unlike the primaries that we had which was an in-house fight, but this time around, it will be a bigger fight.
“I give God the glory for everything. In every contest, there must be a winner and a loser so, I am excited since I become the winner and the flag bearer. I also want to say that, there is no Victor, no vanquish, because it is an in-house fight and I believe that, we will all team up together for the broader one ahead”, the candidate hoped.
“I want to appreciate the good people of Bassa LGA for finding me worthy to contest. I want to also promise that, my mission there is to see to the development of Bassa Local Government Area.
According to him, “I always tell everybody that, Bassa is one of the oldest local government, but surprisingly, there is no any development stride found in Bassa. So, my mission is to go there to build and develop Bassa”.
The Chairmanship Candidate was received by team of youth groups and followed by crowd who escorted him to receive his Nomination Form among whom, were the respective Councillors from the local government.
