
The Rotary International District 9127, has revealed plans to provide 2,700 Desks under “Basic Education and Literacy Projects”, amounting to over ₦48,000,000 million for pupils across 16 Northern States of Nigeria from 2024 to 2025.
It has also unveiled plans to provide Hospital Equipment to four (4) Primary Health Care Centres and renovate some in the District worth over forty million naira (₦40m) through its Material and Child Health Scheme respectively.




The newly installed Pioneer District Governor of Rotary International District 9127, Rotarian Mike Ukachi Nwanoshiri, disclosed this while delivering his acceptance speech at his Investiture ceremony, held at the conference hall of Crispian Hotel and suites Jos, the Plateau State Saturday.
He said, “I am deeply humbled to stand before you today, honoured to accept the privilege of serving as your Pioneer District Governor, Rotary District 9127 for the current Rotary year 2024-2025.




“As we embark on this new journey together, my vision for our new District is built on three pillars: Service Excellence; Fellowship and Fun and Innovation and Growth by embracing fresh ideas, leverage and attract new members.
“In order for us to be more impactful and life changing, we will partner towards the following projects: Provision of 2,700 Desks worth ₦48,000,000 million for pupils in 16 States of Northern Nigeria”, the Governor highlighted.




According to Nwanoshiri, other projects set to achieve included: planting and maintaining of 10,000 trees seedlings (₦15,000,000); provision of reusable sanitary Pads for girls through girl child initiative (₦18,000,000) and materials and child health (₦40,000,000) respectively.
While congratulating the District Governor, the Plateau State Governor, Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang, represented by his Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Hon. Ephraim Usman, promised to give the Rotary leader the needed support for him to succeed in his dreamt responsibility.
