
The Vice Chancellor, Karl Kumm University Vom, Prof Nanven Audu Gambo, has made a case for the holistic inclusion of Nigeria’s Private Universities to benefit from Tertiary Education Trust Fund’s, (TETFund) interventions.
This came in a press statement signed by the Protocol and Information Officer of Karl Kumm University Vom, Plateau State, Bulus Gambo, and made available to newsmen in Jos, the State Plateau State capital Thursday.


The statement stated that, the Vice Chancellor made this call when he hosted the Vice Chancellor of ANAN University Kwall, Prof Musa Inusa Fodio and his management team in his office.
It quoted the Vice Chancellor saying, “considering the huge contributions of private universities to the technological and educational advancement of the nation, there was no basis for discriminatory practices against these tertiary institutions.


“We, therefore, call on the Plateau State Governor, Barrister Caleb Mutfwang, to kindly consider assisting these two only private universities in the state as majority of its targeted and benefiting students are citizens of the state”, he appealed .
While soliciting for effective synergy with ANAN University for greater prospects, Prof Gambo, thanked the proprietor of the university for sustaining the funding for the institution, but pleaded for enhanced funding for smooth administration of the university.
He noted that, the management of Karl Kumm University were leaving no stone unturned in changing the direction of the university education towards self-reliant and development by placing emphasis on skills.
Earlier in his remarks, the Vice Chancellor of ANAN University, Kwall, Prof Musa Inuwa Fodio, disclosed that coincidentally, both universities were issued Operational License the same day, but Karl Kumm University experienced little setback.
He has assured that, despite the setback experienced by the Karl Kumm University, the two institutions was working hard to foster quality education in Nigeria and beyond.
Fodio also noted that, the crux of the visit was to create a profitable platform which would afford both institutions to efficiently synergize for mutual growth and development in the future.
He, however, disclosed that although, his university for only offers post-graduate programmes now and that, they shared many things in common for the obvious fact that both came to be on the same day saying, “we are the only two existing private universities on the Plateau which must be supported by all stakeholders”.

Meanwhile, the two Vice Chancellors who were products of the University of Jos also took time to pray for the repose of the soul of the former Pro-chancellor and Chairman of the Governing Board of Karl Kumm University, Prof Ochapa Onazi, OON who went to be with his creator recently.
