Plateau State Branch of the Nigerian Medical Association (NMA), has, following its recent recognition by the State Council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), assured that the award would further spur them to serve humanity more.

The State Chairman of NMA, Dr, Yilji Cashmir Kumtap, stated this Tuesday, while in an interview with Journalists in Jos, the State capital shortly after being conferred with an Award in recognition of their service to humanity.

He, on behalf of the NMA Members, appreciated the NUJ for recognising their contributions saying, “we are elated by the Award given to us as a body in recognition of our service to humanity in the area of advancing health care and services.

“So, as much as we are excited about the award, we also know that it is a clarion call for us to give more Service and commitment to our responsibility of saving lives.

“We are indeed grateful to Nigeria Union of Journalists for identifying and recognising what we have been doing. We hope that this award would bring about more service to humanity in future”, Kumtap prayed.

The NMA Chairman, therefore, assured NUJ of a fruitful partnership to help better the lives of people through intelligent information sharing and education as they looked forward to signing Memoranda of Understanding (MoU) with NUJ in the coming week.
