NNPP will sweep 7 to 9 LG seats in Plateau State–Tokji

    The Plateau State Chairman of New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP), Comrade John Mandim Tokji, has expressed confidence that his party would sweep seven to nine Chairmanship seats come October 9 Local Government Council Elections.

     He also disclosed that, of all the Councillorship positions, the party would spare one single seat across the seventeenth (17) because they have strong and standing structure in all the Wards of the state.

      The Chairman stated this Sunday, while in an interview with Journalists shortly after the party’s Northern Zone Campaign Flag Off, held at the Layin Sarki of Zololo Junction Jos-North LGA ahead of Wednesday scheduled elections.

     Tokji, said, “we are not intimidated by the so called display of supremacy of the rulling party or any mega party in Plateau State, because the women and youths on the Plateau will vote NNPP for it cares for their well being and future.

     “When you ask if we are confident, it is an understatement. As a party, we have the full capacity and confidence that our party will win the election. I may not say all the seats, because it is politics and about interest, but I assure you that even with PDP as the rulling party, NNPP as an opposition, I believe by the will of God, we will sweep 7 to 9 Local Government”, he expressed optimism.

     Earlier, the Kano State Deputy Governor, Comrade Aminu Abdulsalam Gorzo, represented by Hon.Sule Yau Tariwa, said they were in Jos as Contact Committee Delegation to encourage members of the party and make their candidates emerge winners.

     He called on the people of Plateau State to critically think before voting because when they mistakenly vote for the wrong candidate, he or she would not give them what they want saying, “only NNPP can give you what you want”.

    On her part, the Ward NNPP Woman Leader, Mrs. Sa’adatu Yusuf Ahmed, advised women to not allow people who would hypnotized them with Sault and Indomie, but should vote for the future of their children.

     Also from Kano State as a Contact Committee delegate was, Shehu Usman Muhammad. He commended the people of Plateau State for accepting NNPP and Konkossiah expressing optimism that NNPP would emerge victorious come October 9, 2024.

     Meanwhile, the NNPP Chairmanship Candidate of Jos-North Local Government Council, Hon. Ismail Adam Mazadu, promised to improve the quality of education, health and security which he noted that, it was critical to the development of the local government area.

      He also promised when elected as Chairman of Jos-North LGC that, he would try all avenues to bring back the unity that used to exist among all tribes in Jos-North where all, irrespective of religion, tribes and political affiliation, would sit on a round table and eat in the same plate.

The delegation led by Plateau State NNPP Chairman, Comrade Tokji John Mandim, visited various campaign rallies in Bukuru and later to Rikkos where a Novelty Football Match was organised by their Councillorship Candidate, Malam Yau respectively.
