Plateau State Chairman of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Ambassador (Mrs) Hannatu Gagara, has cleared air dispelling speculations of non-participation of Hon. Ismail Abubakar, as the Chairmanship Candidate of Jos-North Local Government Council Elections.
She, therefore, called on the party supporters to disregard the rumour and come out en-masse to vote Hon. Ismail Abubakar for Chairmanship position of Jos-North Local Government Council.

She stated this Tuesday at the press briefing organised by the party at No. 1 Road in Jos, the Plateau State capital ahead of tomorrow Council Elections.
The Chairman said. “we want to make a fundamental correction regarding tomorrow’s election, especially about our Candidate from Jos-North LGA Chairmanship Candidate, Hon. Ismail Abubakar.
“You are aware that the party and the Candidate has vigorously campaigned and haven been cleared for tomorrow’s Elections by PLASIEC. The party and its Candidate are ready ready for its Candidate and therefore, we have not stepped down for any Candidate on the Plateau.

“Therefore, we are calling on our supporters to come en-masse to vote and vote for ADC tomorrow. She thanked the Governor, Barr. Caleb Mutfwang, and PLASIEC for arranging for the election to hold.
“Working on the PLASIEC law, it was clear that the exiting law 2023 section 24/12 was clear that you must submit to the Commission that you step down. No such letter was submitted to me so, we are fully in the race”, Gagara explained.
She commended Governor Caleb Mutfwang and PLASIEC for the good arrangement put in place for the election.
