Governor Mutfwang swears in 15 out of 17 elected Council Chairmen

    Governor Caleb Mutfwang, of Plateau State, has, out of the seventeenth (17), sworn in fifteen (15) Local Government Council Chairmen who were newly elected Wednesday October 9, 2024 in the state.

   The swearing ceremony took yesterday, at Landfield Resort Rayfield Jos, the State capital shortly after being pronounced winners of Local Government Council Elections by the Chairman, Plateau State Independent Electoral Commission (PLASIEC), Plangji Daniel Cishak.

   Those sworn in included: Hon. Steven Gyang Pwajok (Barkin-ladi LGC); Dr Joshua Sunday Riti (Bassa LGC); Hon. Amanalau John (Bokkos LGC); Barr. JK Chris (Jos-North LGC); Hon. Silas Patrick Dung (Jos-South LGC) and Hon. Markus Ussaini Nyam (Jos-East LGC) respectively.

    Equally sworn-in were that of Kanam LGC, Hon.Salihu Ayuba Musa; Kanke LGC, Hon. Lapching Ezekiel Golime; Langtang South LGC, Hon. Nanfa Alhassan Jingfa; Mangu LGC, Hon. Emmanuel Bala and Mikang LGC, Hon Benard Alkali in that order.

    Others included: Hon. Christopher Audu ma (Quaan-Pan LGC); Hon. Bature Sati Shuwa (Riyom LGC); Hon. Kemi Nicholas Nshe (Shendam LGC) and Hon. Hamisu Anani Muhammad (Wase LGC) accordingly.

    Reports have it that, all the fifteen (15) Chairmen sworn in were of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) out of the eleven (11) political parties that participated in local government council elections.

    However, at the time of filing this report, the results of Pankshin and Langtang North Local Government Councils were not yet received by PLASIEC to be sworn in by the Executive Governor of Plateau State.
