His Majesty, the Ngolong Ngas, Nde Jika Golit, has described the upgrade of former Federal College of Education (FCE) to Federal University of Education Pankshin (FUEP) as a landmark development to not only Ngasland, but Plateau State and Nigeria at large.
He stated this recently, while in an interview with our correspondent in his Pankshin Palace, the headquarters of Pankshin Local Government Area of Plateau State.

The Royal Father said, “the upgrade of the Federal College of Education (FCE) to Federal University of Education Pankshin (FUEP) is a very good development. In fact, we are very excited because it is something we didn’t expect it will come.
“It is just the will of God that we have this University and it is quite a landmark development to not only Ngasland, but to the people of Plateau State and the country at large.

“We also want to use this opportunity to appreciate our Member representing Pankshin/Kanke/Kanam Constituency, Rt. Hon. Yusuf Adamu Gagdi, who fought tiredly to make the University possible and we are very happy”, he commended.
According to the Ngolong Ngas, this development would create more job opportunities to many citizens and also developed the host Community, making it very busy academically and economically.

He, therefore, thanked the Federal Government for making this possible and assured them of all the needed support and cooperation by collaborating to see that the University succeed in bringing academic excellence in Nigeria.
His Majesty, Nde Jika Golit, however, appealed to all sons and daughters of the land who have interest in respective positions, especially, the position of Vice Chancellor of the University to pursue it with decorum by proving their worth and qualifications.
“Whether you are a man or woman, you are all our children. Let us pray that whoever is qualified by the interviewers and emerged as the VC, we will accept it and join hands to support him or her to help move our land forward”, Nde Golit advised.
