Sustaining cultural festival, represents cultural identity–Ngolong Ngas

   The sustenance of cultural festivals by every existing nationality in building a strong tie that always reminds and defines the true identity of a people, has been described as the way to a peaceful society.

    This came in a press statement signed by the Media Officer to the Ngolong Ngas, Wukaska Bako Gowon, and made available to newsmen in Jos, the Plateau State capital Tuesday.

   His Majesty, the Ngolong Ngas, Nde Jika Golit, stated this while in receipt of the representative of the Chairman, Planing Committee of the Tafawa Belewa Ngas Festival of Arts and Culture, Zumji Isaac, in his Palace who came to notify him of the forth coming festival inTagged: Pusdung 2024.

  He added that, Cultural Festivals were key to ancestral identity, especially to the younger generation who were born outside their ancestral homes to encourage them to be proud of their culture and to imbibe the altitude of their culture.

    While expressing his readiness to attend the festival, the Royal Father gave them his words of blessings and prayers assuring them of his total support.

   He encouraged them to go ahead and plan a befitting festival that would highlights the common origin of the Ngas people, noting that it would futher foster unity among them and other ethnic Nationalities. 

   Earlier, the Planing Committee Chairman, informed the King that the Tafawa Belewa branch of the Ngas Development Association would be staging its First Ngas Festival of Arts and Culture, tagged: “Pusdung 2024” and they sought for his blessings and his presents as the Royal Father of day.

The planing committee Chairman who was accompanied by the Youth leader of the Association, Sylvester Mathew, also sought for Royal blessings and prayers saying, “with your presence as the Ngolong Ngas, the Festival will add new visa of relationship between the Ngas Nation and other tribes.
