The President, Church Of Christ In Nations, Rev. Dr. Amos Musa Mohzo, has observed the dire poverty living condition of Nigerians with great concern and called for a desperate need for a leadership that could stand in defence of the poor and oppressed.
He stated this yesterday, while delivering his speech at the 106 General Church Council (GCC), held at the COCIN Headquarters Church Jos, the Plateau State Capital.

The President noted that, Nigeria was today standing at a critical crossroads and that, as a Church, it would not remain silent in the face of the hardships people were experiencing.
“The masses are weighed down by economic distress, skyrocketing
prices, and an erosion of basic comfort, which seems out of reach for many.

“Our nation, with its vast resources and potentials, is not meant to see its citizens suffer in poverty and insecurity Yet, our people are worn down, struggling under the weight of economic instability and a governance system that appears distant from their cries.

“This country so desperately needs leadership that stands in defence of the poor and oppressed. We urge our leaders to open their ears to the pleas of Nigerians, who deserve a government deeply invested in their welfare and protection”, he appealed.
Mohzo, therefore, prayed God to cause all citizens to, together, build a Nigeria that would stands strong in righteousness and compassion supporting their values.
