Gombwer family of Goktok receives a royal pat for humanitarian services

   The Ngolong Ngas, His Majesty, Nde Jika Golit, has showered praises on the Gombwer family of Goktok in Kanke Local Government, Plateau State, for their humanitarian services and challenged well to do individuals to emulate them.

   This came in a press statement signed by the Media Officer to Ngolong Ngas, Wukaska Bako Gowon, and made available to newsmen in Jos, the Plateau State capital recently shortly after hosting the Gombwer family at his Palace in Pankshin.

   The Royal Father said, “wealth needs to be circulated and not hoarded. Those endowed with riches should be their brothers’ keepers in society.

   “I want to welcome you to your  ancestral home. You were disconnected from your clan, but I to thank you for using your Foundation founded in memory of your late parents to help the less privileged.

  “I encourage you to live above board and bring economic and social development to Ngasland and the state at large”, he encouraged the Gombwer family.

  The Monarch, therefore, advised them to remain loyal to their host communities where they were and avoid acts that could dent their good image so that they could achieve what they wanted in life.

    Earlier, the spoke person  for  the Foundation, Paul Gonen Gombwer, who is the eldest among the five brothers and a lady, expressed gratitude to God for giving the Ngas Nation a divine Royal Father to lead.

   He further explained that, the foundation was founded immediately after the death of their mother by their Younger brother Paul Sati Gombwer who resides in the United States of America to care for the less privileged in the society irrespective of tribe and religious differences.

   Gombwer noted with regret that their father who was a soldier  could not link them to their clan before his death, but expressed gratitude that they had been connected and promised to always visit home to contribute to its economy and social development.

    On his part, the youngest among them who is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of the foundation, Paul Sati Gombwer and residents in  the United State of America, outlined some of its activities to includes offering of Scholarships, yearly distribution of Shoes, clothing materials and food items to both the young and the elderly.

  He, however, announced that the Foundation was Organizing the First Ngolong Ngas Peace and Unity Football competition among Youths across the entire State stressing  that, the blessings of the Royal Father would further spur him to do more.

   Also, the Village Head of Tuwan in Kabwir District, Nde Richard Genka, who contributed immensely to their home coming, described them as true sons and daughters of Nagaland who were so eager to reconnect with their immediate family so that, they could contribute to its development saying, “I thank the Ngolong Ngas for the blessings and prayers showered on you”

   Meanwhile, one of their uncles, Professor Zakka Ayuba, disclosed that the Humanitarian Foundation was first domiciled in Kaduna where they were born and brought up before moving back home to offer the same services and appreciated the Ngolong Ngas for his words of encouragement.

    Highlight of the visit was the presentation of Miss Diane Nenrit Paul, daughter by one of their elderly brothers who came fourth in the recently contested Miss Nigeria Beauty pageant, to the Royal Father for blessings and the donation of other items for the palace.
