Member Representing Barkin Ladi/Riyom Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives Hon. Dalyop Fom, has empowered with cash donations, distributed wrappers to over 1000 widows in Barkin Ladi/Riyom Constituency of Plateau State.
This took place yesterday, at Gwol Hotel and Resort Barkin Ladi, the headquarters of the Constituency Thursday, where the widows converged to benefit from the magnanimity of the Lawmaker.
Presenting the items to beneficiaries, the Reps Member said, the gesture was aimed at alleviating the hardship faced by these widows in face of this challenging times.

He noted that widows, Youths and Women’s plights had been his focus years ago before he was elected and promised to reach out to 2000 beneficiaries subsequently.
“Just two days ago, we completed the Riyom phase of the program, and today we’re wrapping up in Barkin Ladi. This initiative primarily focuses on widows, a group I’ve consistently supported for many years.

“So far, 1,000 widows have benefited, and which the list doesn’t include everyone yet. We’re aiming for a total of 2,000 beneficiaries”, Hon. Fom disclosed.
The 10th Assembly Lawmaker, therefore, expressed commitment to empower his constituents, particularly vulnerable groups like widows and also focus on creating positive change in his community.



The Gwom Rwei of Barkin Ladi, His Royal Highness Da Edward Gyang, represented by Gwom Gwol Da Chollom Gyang, commended the lawmaker for empowering widows appealing that, he should assist the local government in addressing electricity challenges.
The APC Chairman of Barkin Ladi, Hon. Davou Haruna, and an Official of the National Council of Women Societies (NCWS), Mrs. Salome Jaja, expressed happiness commending the lawmaker’s good representation.



Responding on behalf of the beneficiaries, Mrs. Esther Iliya Musa and Regina Joseph Dung, appreciated the lawmaker for remembering them and prayed God to continue to success in 2025.
It would be recalled that, Hon. Dalyop Fom, was elected on the platform of the Labour Party (LP), recently defected to the All Progressive Congress (APC) which he disclosed, was to connect his constituency to the national government.
