In recognition of their hard work and dedication to duty, the Nigeria Police Force (NPF), has promoted and decorated State Commander, Counter Terrorism Unit, CSP Tyopev Terna, and 103 others to their respective ranks.
Tyopev, who is former Plateau State Command’s Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), was elevated from the rank of Superintendent of Police (SP) to the rank of Chief Superintendent of Police (CSP) for his hard work, commitment and dedication to duty.

Decorating the newly promoted officers at the Police Officers Mess Jos yesterday, the Plateau State Commissioner of Police, CP Emmanuel Olugbemiga Adesina, psc, congratulated the officers and charged them to be steadfast, diligent, and responsible in their new capacities.
He emphasized on the importance of maintaining high standards of professionalism and integrity in their duties, reminding them of the critical role they play in maintaining peace and security in the State.




Adesina, however, commended the newly promoted officers for their hard work and dedication to duty which prompted their promotions, describing this upliftment in ranks as well deserved.
He, therefore, thanked the Inspector General of Police, IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, for boosting the morals of his officers by promoting massively these gallant officers to further encourage them to do more.
Responding on behalf of the newly promoted officers of the Command CSP Tyopev Terna, expressed gratitude to the Commissioner of Police for organizing such an elaborate ceremony to honor them.







He, also thanked the CP for the recognition and appreciation shown to them and assured him of utilising their new ranks to the best of their abilities, to maintain peace and security throughout the State.
Journalists who covered the ceremony could not let go CSP Tyopev Terna, who was one of them and were all over congratulating him as they engaged him in the usual of interview.








Responding to their questions, the newly decorated CSP Tyopev, who could hide his joy seeing the Journalists around him, thanked God for this wonderful opportunity.
“I joined the force with my whole heart and I’ve been serving with all my mind and God has opened this door of opportunity for me to be promoted to the rank of CSP.



“I thank God. I am going to be more dedicated in my assignment and I pray that God, in his infinite mercy will continue to strengthen me as I discharge my responsibilities.
“Getting CSP at this age and time is not something small. As the commander of CTU on the Plateau, I am going to rededicate my time to making sure that the Plateau is safe and the country is also safe”, he prayed and assured.






The categories of officers decorated included: 17 Superintendent of Police (SP) to the next rank of Chief Superintendent of Police (CSP); 10 Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) to the next rank of Superintendent of Police (SP) and 77 Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) to the next of Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) respectively.
The highlights of the ceremony was the presence of wives and families of the promoted officers as most officers saluted their wives after being decorated by them.
