Senator representing Plateau Central in the National Assembly, Diket Plang, has expressed sadness and devastation over the deceased of Her Majesty, Maran Esther Jika Golit, the wife of the Ngolong Ngas whose death occurred recently.
This came in a press statement signed by the Media Officer to Ngolong Ngas, Wukaska Bako Gowon, and made available to newsmen in Jos, the Plateau State Monday.



He expressed this sad feelings when he paid condolence visit to the Royal Father, Ngas Nation and the entire members of Pankshin and Kanke Local Government Area recently.
The Senator said, “I am convinced that Maran was a virtues woman whose qualities was a witness to the ascension of her husband to the exalted throne of the Ngolong Ngas, offering more of her Humanitarian services to the people”.
He acknowledged Traditional Rulers as critical stakeholders who play advisory role in any aspect of life, hence the need for them to be appreciated, respected and prayed God to comfort, strengthen their faith and give them more wisdom to lead thier subjects.



Senator Plang, added that as an elected representative, he would ensure that his people benefited from the dividend of democracy irrespective of religious, politics or tribal sentiments.
He, however, disclosed that this year’s National Budget captured the continuation for the completion of Federal Highways that linked Balang, Wuseli in Plateau with spore to Tapshin in Bauchi State as well as Sharam Garam and Farin Lamba Shendam Federal Highways.
He gave the assurance that work would soon resume immediately when His Excellency, President Ahmed Bola Tinunbu appended his signature within two weeks of the 2025 Budget already passed by the National Assembly.

Responding, the representative of the Family who also stood in for the Ngas Nation and members of Pankshin and Kanke joint Traditional Council, Fabian Danladi Paipung, thanked Senator Diket Plang for the visit, his contributions during the burial and encouraged him not to relent in providing the dividends of democracy to his people.
Highlights of the visit was offering of prayers by men of God for the family to be comforted and the bravery to bear the lost.
