Presenting the award, International Director of (IAWPA), His Excellency, Ambassador Professor Chidi Ehiriodo, congratulated the awardees and urged them to use this opportunity to promote peace in their various areas of endeavours because peace was a priceless commodity.

However, the National President of Ngas Development Association (NDA), Dr. Katkukkah Danjuma Gokum, PhD, described Nendi as a special gift to them in Ngasland.

“I have been a witness to other awards ceremonies that recognises her, and this is my third time witnessing the same programme. I am happy and proud that she is part of us and  she will keep on shining!

On his part, the Chairman Ngas Elders Forum, Nde Gideon Barde, said the compassion through her love for humanity and sacrifices to see to the well being of people, was what has over the years elevated to this far.

“As a father, you can see how happy I am. I am very very happy for her. My prayer for her is to live to fulfill her dreams in life and see the glory of God manifest in her”, he prayed.

“That is why you can see that she has the largest crowd of supporters who have followed her, and even the organizers acknowledged that. I’m so proud as a Ngas son to see that one of us has really made us proud.

“That is why the first President of the Ngas Development Association, Dr. Gideon Barde, is here in person with his wife, and the current President, Dr. Katkukkah Gokum, is also here to celebrate with her.

“It shows that the whole Ngas Nation is proud of Ruth Obadiah for this wondrous title. I admonish her to continue to do her best for humanity and God Almighty  because it is a source of happiness not just on Ngas nation but the people”, he commended.

Ambassador Dr. Nendi and her friend Rev. Dr. Blessing

Presented by Builder Daniel D. Sani, the Royal Father said, “as a father of the occasion, and apart from generally being proud of all the recipients, being ambassadors or advocates of peace, I am particularly proud to associate with the Ngas people.

“The reason is because of who the Ngas man is. As far as Plateau is concerned, the Ngas man is more of a stabilizer on the Plateau, not owing to the strategic location the Ngas nation occupy both on the map of the Plateau and in their conduct and who they have proven to be.

“So, I am personally proud as you can see here today, with our daughter who is from the Ngas extraction and particularly because of what she has been doing and what she has done, it has earned her this recognition. I only pray that she consolidates on peace advocacy which, according to them, she has received today”, he reiterated.

For her husband, Mr. Fidelis, who could not hide his joy, said, “seriously, I see it as a privilege and a honour, because to have such a woman, a worship woman of this nature, seriously, I am saying to God, thank you for what He has done because He has really announced us.

“My prayer is that, the Lord should continue to empower her, the Lord should continue to use her to His own glory, not to man’s glory, not to my own glory, but to His own glory to promote His kingdom on this earth”, he wished.

Similarly, the recipient’s bosom friend, Rev. Dr. Blessing Offensive, who came all the way from Bauchi State, described Ambassador Dr Nendi, as a woman with great virtue and resilience who have stood for the truth as well as offered humanitarian sacrifices that have touched a lot of people’s life.
