Words of wisdom

Ambassador Nanpon Danjuma Sheni, the PIDAN President

Patience is a vital virtue, especially when faced with life’s challenges. It’s essential to trust that everything is working together for our good, even when we can’t see the bigger picture.

And what a beautiful distinction between joy and happiness! While happiness can be fleeting and dependent on circumstances, joy is a deeper, more profound emotion that can be present regardless of our circumstances.

Joy is eternal. When we cultivate joy, we tap into a divine strength that helps us navigate life’s challenges with resilience, hope, and faith.

So, let’s choose joy, even amid challenges! Let’s stay joyful, knowing that it’s a powerful dimension of happiness that can transform our lives and help us thrive.

The Lord said “ The joy of the Lord is your strength” Good morning and have a blessed Thursday..

Simplicity boils down to two steps, identify the essential and eliminate the rest. Let no feeling of discouragement prey upon you, and in the end, you are sure to succeed.

When opportunity meets preparation, a miracle is born.. The greatest rewards are often the result of the greatest challenges.

In life, you need wisdom in all you do. Nothing is better than respect and loyalty. Strive for greatness.

Whatever comes, let it come, whatever stays let stay, what goes, let go. Self-complacency is fatal to progress. The Lord guides…

Good morning and a blessed Tuesday….

Practice self-care and self-compassion. Take care of your physical, emotional, and mental well-being, and treat yourself with kindness, understanding, and patience.

Remember, happiness is a journey, not a destination! Be hopeful and keep faith alive.

Faith keeps you in a trusting relationship with God amid your problems. The Lord reveals…..

Character is destiny.” The choices we make under pressure shape not only our character but also the course of our lives.

It’s easy to be kind, compassionate, and noble when life is going smoothly. But when the heat is on, and the stakes are high, that’s when a person’s true character is put to the test.

The choices we make under pressure reveal our values, our motivations, and our inner strength.

They show us who we are, beneath the surface level of our personalities and social masks. Be good in and out because your inner being is truly you.

What we see depends mainly on what we look for. You become what you believe. The Lord searches the heart… Good morning and a blessed Sunday..

        Words of wisdom

Ambassador Nanpon Danjuma Sheni, the PIDAN President

Any bad habit that you refuse to deal with in the present will deal with you in the future. Discipline is the bridge between goals and accomplishment.

Character matters in everything. Beauty without manner cannot sustain you in marriage. Intelligence without character cannot make you outstanding. Power without discipline would end you in futilities.

Never take advantage of others, as it may not end well. The Lord said “Holding faith, and a good conscience; which some having put away concerning faith have made shipwreck”

Let’s be guided by our conscience. The Lord Instructs. Good morning and have a blessed Saturday..

1999 Constitution aides corruption, rewards illegality over hardwork –Prof. Lassa

Professor Peter N. Lassa, the first professor of mathematics

By Ezekiel Dontinna

First professor of mathematics, Peter N. Lassa, has queried the 1999 Constitution produced by the Military Administration describing it as an aide to all manner of corruptions Nigeria ever faced.

He also blamed some sections of it to be responsible to creating a system where criminality and illegality got rewarded over hard work and uprightness making Nigeria retrogressive instead progressive.

The don stated recently, while addressing Journalists during press briefing organised by him at the NUJ State Secretariat in Jos, the Plateau State capital.

“This constitution has constantly aided Corruption because the system has been rigged to produce the worse of the worst. A system where criminality and illegality is rewarded and hard work and uprightness goes unnoticed and
unrewarded. We are in a retrogressive state.

“Contrary to what we are made to believe by the preamble to the constitution, it is safe to say that over 95% of the citizens of Nigeria didn’t have a say in the drafting of this document, it was rather forced down their throats by the Military and has been in force till today”, he emphasized.

Lassa, noted that, several amendments of the Constitution since starting has made people not satisfied, generating agitations for regional government because the operation has several limitations to satisfy people’s aspiration in its operation.

Professor Peter Lassa who has wide experience of working
in Native Authority, Northern Region, North East State, University system, existed that the present Constitution with several amendments has created more confusion than correcting some lapses.

He, therefore, called on Nigeria to demand for a new Constitution that would emanate from the people through an open referendum where everyone’s voice would be heard, because no one should be more Nigerian than another.
