Words of wisdom

Ambassador Nanpon Danjuma Sheni, the PIDAN

Wisdom demands that you live a honest life. If you don’t agree with someone, say so kindly but firmly.

If you are the only one, be true to yourself and stand alone. When you blow it, say, “I blew it.” If you don’t know, admit the truth.

It’s okay not to know because no one knows it all. Respect yourself enough to walk away from anything that no longer serves you, grows you, makes you happy or anything that makes you try to compromise your faith or standards.

Doing what you like is freedom, liking what you do is happiness. A ruffled mind makes a restless pillow. Honesty is the first chapter of the book of wisdom.

The Lord gives wisdom…Good morning and a blessed Wednesday..

All hail the Jaruman Dawaki 1

Hon. Rose Lawade Wadak, Jarumam Dawaki 1

By Katdapba Y Gobum

Women in these parts are often not always considered for chieftaincy titles.

We know that when they get considered for one, they are always some of the best that are capable and needed for the assignment.

That is why Saturday, May 3, 2025 is distinct for the people of Dawaki of Kanke LGA. It is Pus Rot Pwel, will be celebrated that day.

The District Head of Dawaki, HRH, Nde Julius Gombwir will, on that day, coronate Hon Rose Lawade Wadak as Jaruman Dawaki 1.

Hon Rose Lawade Wadak is a nurse by training. But beyond nursing, she has carved a niche in community development, politics and advocacy.

The bill rightly fits her!

What better way to engage her energies: To speak for causes, and ensure that the lives of people in communities are better and safe.

Sometime in 2021, she had indicated interest in seeking the mandate of the people of Kanke to become chairman of the local government area.

With a strong showing in 2014, she joined the fray to contest to represent Kanke Constituency in the Plateau State House of Assembly.

Though both never came to pass, the message that came in their trail was massive and instructive: That a woman, given her qualifications, experience and antecedence can also be saddled with this responsibility.

Becoming an advisor to the Ngollong Dawaki is sure to propel her further. Knowing her she will not take it for granted.

As she prepares to take on this new task, I am aware that her people are counting on her to change and make causes that would be in touch with current realities.

It is the prayers of many that her voice will remain a constant refrain; and shall not be muted. The chieftaincy is, in the main, created for service and even more to the people of Dawakil and beyond.

I shall not speak for her, but, for her great love for people and causes; this is her season for us to hail the new Jaruman Dawaki 1. And indeed, we do salute her.

You find peace not rearranging the circumstances of your life, but by realizing who you are at the deepest level; If it hurts to hear it, look for the truth in it.

If it comforts to hear it, look for the lie in it. Experience shows that life is never that straight forward, there will always be challenges, if not, you won’t know that God exists. Man prays hardest at the face of challenges.

Focusing on your future makes you realize more opportunities than ever. Stay hopeful, stay motivated, and stay strong.

Living in the present moment creates the experience of eternity. Live life boldly, acknowledge your accomplishments and supremacy of the Almighty God.

The Lord guides. Good morning and a blessed Monday

Life is not a tea party affairs, it’s either hard work or hard life. Hard Work with Gods help means progress, only fools idle away their time.

The time for action is now. It’s never too late to do something. Dreams don’t die until we let them.

Take time to be friendly, it is the road to happiness. Take time to laugh, it is music of the soul.Take time to commune with your maker, it’s the road to lasting peace and joy. Take time to give, it is too short a day to be selfish. Take time to work, it is the price of success.

The victory of success is half done when one gains the habit of work not prayer alone. The Lord rewards …..GoodMorning. blessed Sunday..

Mountaintops inspire leaders but valleys mature them. Our God is the God on the mountain and he still, is the God in the valley.

Don’t lose faith for no one is motivated all the time, but you can be disciplined all the time.

Sometimes, you just need a break, in a beautiful place closer to nature, alone to figure everything out.

If everything was perfect, you would never learn and you would never grow. It’s better to cross the line and suffer the consequences than to just stare at the line for the rest of your life.

One thought driven home is better than three left on base. Just keep trusting. The Lord guides…Good morning and blessed Saturday..

You are uniquely and wonderfully crafted by God himself, no one is like you. Your path is sacred, yours alone.

Don’t shrink your light to match another’s shadow. You were born to set fire to the sky. You are original, let your passion roar louder than your fear.

Some days you’ll rise, conquer, and come out victorious. Others, you’ll fight just to breathe. Both are victories. Both are holy. And still the light returns.

The fire is never lost. Move with purpose. Burn with faith. The Lord goes before you and nothing can stand in your way because when you move, God is already ahead waiting.

The Lord reforms and His story never ends in ashes. Good morning. Thank God it is Friday

Remember what you’ve survived. Each storm you thought would break you, only crowned you with strength.

Every moment you doubted your strength, Heaven whispered otherwise, and you rose. You are mightier than your fear. In the small joys, you will see the hidden glory of your life.

Be angry if you must but never bitter. Fall and rise, stumble and soar but never abandon the courage to try.

True wisdom is born in wonder; true power speaks through action. The Lord restores.

Good morning and a blessed Thursday…

You are unique and distinctively made. Don’t be awestruck by other people and try to copy them.

Nobody can be you as efficiently and as effectively as you can. When you use the gifts you have, people call you gifted.

One of the hardest things about climbing the ladder of success is getting through the crowd of copies at the bottom.

Avoid being neglected. No age or time of life, no position or circumstance, has a monopoly on success.

Any age is the right age to start doing! Get started, and if you are on the journey already, keep climbing.

See you at the top. The Lord reflects…GoodMorning, blessed Wednesday..

Plateau NBA calls for empowerment of communities with self-defence mechanism

Barr. Leah Dagung Hassan, the Jos Branch NBA Chairman flagged by other Branch Chairmen

By Ezekiel Dontinna

Four branches of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) in Plateau State, have jointly called on the Federal Government to empower vulnerable communities with self defence mechanism to defend themselves.

The Jos Branch Chairman, Leah Dagung Hassan, Esq, who led other Chairmen, made the call yesterday at the press briefing organised by the four branches in Jos, the State capital.

The NBA branches said, “the continued bloodletting in Plateau State, under the guise of communal crises must no longer be treated with indifference or vague promises.

“The slogan should no longer be “Enough is enough”, but it should be
“This is Enough lets Stand up and take Actions”.The Communities be allowed to defend themselves.

“We, therefore, demand that the Federal Government should empower vulnerable Communities with Self defense mechanism and equipments since the Security Personnel we have are not enough to secure our lives”, they emphasised.

While commending steps taken by the State Government, the NBA further called on the Government to take comprehensive and proactive steps to forestall future occurrences of this genocidal attacks on the people of Plateau State.

The association, however, discarded assertion by some individuals describing the attacks as communal clashes as an intentional attack to wipe out helpless citizens in their houses by wicked men who have no regard for human lives and the State Government.

It therefore, warned that the people would not continue to be silent in the face of these barbaric and evil act of killing innocent citizens and taking over their ancestral lands making them strangers in own home.

The best time for you to hold your tongue is the time you feel you must say something or burst, not even the fastest car can catch a word spoken in anger.

Silence is a powerful shield; the words we don’t speak can’t wound us, but the ones we do can set us free or bind us to regret.

Silence is the ultimate weapon of power, Some times silence can be an element in which great things fashion themselves, silence is also a healing, soothing, healthy practice.

Your words are a reflection of where you are going. Watch your words! The Lord said, “Death and life are in the power of the tongue…” The Lord Admonish.

Good morning a blessed Tuesday…
